Description

Grey wolves (Binomial Name: Canis lupus), as the name suggests, are gray dog-like mammals in Survivalcraft that live in cold and temperate areas. Gray wolves move fast and hunt in packs at night. They will sometimes stop and howl raising their heads high to the moon. During the day, however, grey wolves are shy and will move away from trouble. They are extremely dangerous at night when encountered in large numbers, and will smell prey from large distances and congregate to hunt it.

They are carnivores, meaning they will eat: Bacon/Meat [raw, cooked or rotten], Bird [raw, cooked or rotten], and Fish [raw, cooked or rotten].

Gray wolves spawn in packs of 1-3.

Drops

When a wolf is killed, they drop Leather and a chance of Rotten Meat.

Behavior

Wolves are hostile. They will chase and attack unprovoked during nighttime but will generally run away from you during daytime unless you attack, in which case it will start attacking you. Any nearby wolves that saw you attack a wolf will also begin attacking you. As with many other creatures, even during the day if you or any other passive creature manages to stay 'too close' to a wolf for 'too long', it may turn and attack you because it sees you or the targeted creature as a threat.

In the nights of a full moon and/or a new moon, grey wolves may turn into werewolves.

Trivia

  • Wolves are the rough equivalent to Zombies in Minecraft, as they both hunt at night, hunt in groups and spawn in groups, can spawn and call reinforcements, and are slight annoying for most players.
